Professional Tree Climber
Join our top-tier crew for large and complex removals. You’ll work directly with our owner and senior operators on some of Oregon’s most technical tree jobs.

Professional Ground Crewman
The backbone of the operation — our ground crew and equipment operators handle cleanup, equipment, and assist climbers throughout complex removals.

Operate chippers, dump trailers, loaders, stump grinders, and saws
Drag, cut, and load debris safely and efficiently
Maintain equipment and job site safety
Communicate with climbers and drivers to keep workflow movingdle high-risk trees, storm damage, and emergency response calls

Comfortable operating and maintaining small machinery
Can lift 75+ lbs and work full days outdoors

Professional Fleet Driver
We need reliable drivers capable of operating bucket trucks, chip trucks, and dump trailers. You’ll haul material between job sites and assist with setup and teardown.

Our mechanics keep North Woods Tree Service running at full power. From chainsaws and chippers to dump trailers and bucket trucks, our operation depends on skilled, detail-oriented professionals who know their way around engines, hydraulics, and fabrication. Whether it’s in the shop or out in the field, our mechanics make sure every piece of equipment performs safely, efficiently, and reliably — because downtime isn’t an option.
Tree Climber
We’re looking for climbers who can take on smaller projects with lower risk safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Perform trimming, canopy work, and small removals
Operate saws and rigging equipment safely
Communicate clearly with property owners and the North Woods team
Provide own gear and maintain professional presentation

Ground Crewman/Driver
Support climbers with hauling, debris cleanup, and driving. Operate equipment, manage site safety, and represent the North Woods standard on every job.

Light-Duty Crew
Light-Duty Crew
This division focuses on smaller, less technical jobs — trims, light removals, and cleanups that can be completed in one day or less. We’re building a roster of skilled contract climbers and drivers/ground guys for consistent sub-work across the Northwest.
Small Engine Mechanic
Handles maintenance and repair of all small engines and handheld or tow-behind equipment used in daily operations. This includes chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, blowers, and other power tools. Ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in two-stroke and small gas engines.

Diagnose, repair, and tune small gas engines and power tools
Perform oil changes, belt replacements, and blade sharpening
Maintain chippers and stump grinders for field readiness
Track service intervals and parts inventory

2+ years small engine experience (tree or landscaping industry preferred)
Own tools and workspace (preferred)
Reliable, self-driven, and safety-conscious
Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Maintains and repairs our larger fleet and machinery, including bucket trucks, chip trucks, dump trailers, and excavators. This role requires experience in hydraulics, diesel systems, electrical troubleshooting, and fabrication.

Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems
Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
Service diesel and gas trucks, trailers, and attachments
Assist with field repairs and emergency breakdowns

3+ years heavy equipment or diesel mechanic experience
Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
Welding or fabrication experience preferred
Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs
